Michael Trimarco has been a successful entrepreneur for about a decade, a tenure that started in 1999. Trimarco has the perseverance and market savvy needed to be successful in a number of industries, including the technology services and telecommunications industries. Patience and talent are the abilities needed in order to found and operate successful businesses in disparate industries. Many people are capable of accumulating wealth over their lifetimes by founding and running one particular company. Few, however, can found (and later sell off) various businesses in a number of industries–this displays a certain business acumen.

Before he began his career as a full-time entrepreneur, Mr. Trimarco was a dedicated young member of academia at Cornell University in New York. It was there that he attained his Bachelor’s in Science. He later attended Harvard University and got an MBA from that institution. During, and immediately after, Trimarco’s time in academia, he spent time at several top quality firms in the financial industry—like GE Capital and Lehman Brothers Trading. This short stint in finance prepared him for his later efforts.

It’s often quite difficult for an individual to make the jump from purely academic pursuits to the real world of business. It’s even less easy to switch from purely academic pursuits to founding and then running your own business. However, Michael Trimarco was able to.
